Two kids and an ornery cat

This is the blog of 2 kids, and probably not the cat. He is old and cranky - we will see if he ever posts.

Been awhile we know...

MOMMY-
There will be some pictures later.. Just getting up a post for now...

SW is already 8 months old! His first tooth popped through yesterday!! He keeps playing with it with his tongue. He is a pro at rolling all over the house. He commando crawls like a champ. He gets up on his hands and knees (4-point), moves his hands, but can't get those legs moving in a crawl yet - we are not in any hurry. He 'says' da-da, ba-ba (though he hardly ever gets one!!), ma-ma... thought he said HI and Car today - hard to say as he is probably just imitating what he sees and hears. He loves to chase his sister, play with her toys and try to eat her books. Yummy! He reached up for me as I picked him up today, another first! He laughs a LOT, he is a very happy baby compared to TJ. He is a momma's boy, but that is to be expected at this age right? He was a bumble bee for Halloween, cute as could be!

TJ is gaining new words ALL the time... She got some new ones when Daddy was putting in the new baseboard in the kitchen... they all have 4 letters in them. It was an educational experience for her! She can now jump into the air and get both feet off the ground. When she is doing something that she thinks is adorable, she makes sure you are looking at her by saying "Look at that, Look!". She is starting to sing. She goes up to the piano and plays it and sings songs about dinosaurs, bunnies, and Elmo. We regret to inform you that she is taking a real liking to the Wiggles. We hope that it soon passes! When we get in the car she requests the wiggles, or should I say demands? If we don't comply she cries. She also cries when the CD is over, so we have to restart the dang thing. She still LOVES her dinosaur toys the best. She was a Butterfly for Halloween. Mommy made the dress portion of it - and it wasn't too messed up! It was my first clothing project, and it actually turned out pretty good.

We are still mid-redecoration in the kitchen. We aren't replacing cabinets, counter or sink - but just about everything else! We got some awesome lights at IKEA, painting and wallpaper border all pretty much done. All we have left is flooring to be bought/installed and the decorations for the walls/windows. Wish us luck! Hopefully the flooring installation won't be another educational experience for TJ. :) So this flooring thing, and family things, are what have been keeping us too busy to blog. Catch ya soon, thank you for looking in on us!
